The 200-125 VAR Chair, also known commonly as the Aga Chair, is another well-known design by Józef Chierowski in our portfolio. The inspiration for its creation was the creator's passion - playing bridge and long evenings spent in the chair. The premiere of the chair coincided with the wave of fascination with discussion and reading clubs at the time, which is why the chair became so popular so quickly.

It is an exquisitely thought-out and sophisticated design, with a simple Scandinavian form. Strong wooden legs with a trapezoidal shape add to its lightness and set the chair apart from other design icons.

An icon of Polish design – the 200-125 VAR Chair – designed by Józef Chierowski in the early 1970s. It was created to comfortably pursue the designer’s passion – long bridge games. It is a great example of classic design with a sublime and economical form.
